Neurobiological Foundations of LSP
February 22, 2022
Education & Research
Johannes Rosenberger
Agenda for the session is focused on the presentation on neurology and communication in the brain. The author discusses the concept of neurons firing together and wiring together, and how this affects our experiences and perceptions. The brain has three parts: the instinctual brain for survival, the mammal brain for needs and behavior, and the sapiens brain for conscious thought. The instinctual and mammal brains communicate through images and emotions, while the sapiens brain uses words and grammar. To unlock behavior change, we need to speak the language of the mammal brain. The use of symbols and metaphors is emphasized as a way to unlock unconscious competence and communicate effectively. Legos serious play affects all three parts of the brain, creating a safe space for the reptile brain, activating intuitive and unconscious competence, and allowing for the creation of new solutions that are compatible with one's networks. LSPCC Team facilitates a discussion where participants share their insights and experiences with LSP practice, including the importance of tapping into unconscious knowledge and emotions, and the power of truthful building and resonance between different frames of reference. At the end the author emphasizes the importance of teaching that Lego series play is not just playing with Legos but utilizing brain technology and latest science.
